Transport Coordinator

Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Follow through with E-Commerce orders to ensure transport delivery commitments to final customers.
  2. Coordination with transport suppliers and distribution centers.
  3. Maintain close contact with customer service to improve delivery experience
  4. Direct supervision and tracking through monthly reports.
  5. Courier selection and implementation of service level improvements.
  6. Promote expenditure control, develop budgets, and ensure correct allocations.
  7. Facilitate IT integration with new couriers and or distribution centers.
  8. Daily administrative tasks

SKILLS:

  1. Advanced in computer and logistics software including Microsoft Excel, V-Look up and Pivot tables.
  2. Strong organizational, communication and time management skills
  3. Ability to execute daily tasks and meet deadlines.
  4. He should be able to speak Kannada and English Fluently
  5. Hindi and Tamil Language speaking skills is a plus.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position within the e-Commerce and logistics fields.
  3. Knowledgeable with internal communications/presentations related to KPI’s and new programs as related to logistics.
  4. Valued experience and/or studies in textile retailers, ecommerce business or transport/logistics.
  5. Experience working with Transport vendors within India.

Job Description:

  1. This position will be responsible for managing daily logistics operations, implementing and optimizing vehicle capacity utilization and supporting quality standards.
  2. Analyze and implement processes that tighten costs, reduce risk, and ensure a quality, reliable and safe transportation.
  3. She/heis expected to own and drive the daily functional operational tasks of all logistics matters.
  4. Partner with various internal teams (Finance, Marketing, IT, Executive Management, Strategy) cross-functionally to identify and implement transportation roadmaps and timelines.
  5. Define and create state-of-the-art practices in sourcing, freight, and logistics
  6. Serve as Supply Chain Business Process Owner and lead large scale projects to build and maintain a high-functioning supply chain in a high-growth environment.
  7. Strong Communication and Negotiation Skills - Considering the role involves convincing everyone in the value chain, i.e. customers, property owners, vendors, local workers, people who love to talk and can convince anyone are needed
